We recently caught up with Christine & Sarah from New Era to talk about their Accessories Line. We asked them a series of questions to help everyone better understand New Era Accessories and how much value they add to anyone’s collection. They also gave us a sneak on some up and coming belts they will be releasing. Continue reading for details.

• Nectalk: For those who aren’t familiar with New Era accessories please tell us a bit about what type of accessories New Era deals with and offers to their clients:

Within our Accessory category, we target two areas: Cap Care & Cap Storage. Our Cap Care products include the Recap Cleaning Kit which contains an inflatable head form, Cleaner, Shaper, and a brush. It allows you to clean and block your cap any time you want. Or you can just grab the Cleaner and Shaper to keep your cap clean. Then there’s our Cap Brush, which is a small rectangular brush designed to remove hair/lint/dust from your cap to restore it back to new. This is our best selling item in this category. It’s small and easy to use, and does the trick! Within our Cap Storage products, we offer 3 cap carriers: a 2Pack, a 6Pack, and a 24Pack (the number distinguishing exactly how many Fitteds you can put inside the carrier). We also carry the Cap Storage System, which is a hanging shelf unit that you attach to the bar in your closet and it contains 4 open shelves to store caps.

• Rock-N-Jocks: Our account came about with a hefty initial order. What pulled us to the New Era brand is the best fit around for the hottest hats in the land. The brand of New Era can’t be touched. It just works.

NewEraCapTalk.com:Right now, out of all the New Era caps you have in stock which one is the most popular item?

• Rock-N-Jocks: The most popular one at the moment of the New Era Customs we have in stock would have to be the N.W.A. inspired Los Angeles Kings custom Fitted. It is just a must have for hat lovers, and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays is also killing it.

NewEraCapTalk.com: Do you feel as though the New Era Cap game is becoming more and more saturated?

• Rock-N-Jocks: The New Era game of the world is getting more out there of course. Rock-N-Jocks unlike major chain hat stores keeps our colorways and logos combinations vibrant and live also with keeping our exclusive customs limited which we think makes them one of a kind must haves.

NewEraCapTalk.com:How do you guys stay current with fresh new colorways and designs, how can you anticipate what the customer wants?

• Rock-N-Jocks: Our colorway ideas come from a team of three mad scientists that bounce off ideas from one to the other until a perfect concoction is perfected. Since we are huge hats fans, sports fans, and fashion fans we feel like we can anticipate what is going to bring the customer to rocknjocks.com

NewEraCapTalk.com: What is your competitive advantage in the marketplace?

• Rock-N-Jocks: Our competitive advantage over other hat stores is I believe that we are doing color and logo combinations that you are not going to find anywhere in the world. You could go to China to California to your local mall and the only place you are going to find one of our limited custom fitteds is on rocknjocks.com

NewEraCapTalk.com: Have you guys been feeling the pinch from the recession? If so how are you over coming it?

• Rock-N-Jocks: Pinch from the recession. I feel that everyone, everywhere, is somehow feeling the recession. With the Recession going on however, sales are pretty steady with last years sales which is encouraging.

NewEraCapTalk.com: What new up-and coming products are you most excited about?

• Rock-N-Jocks: We are excited about alot of the custom fitteds we have arriving. We have alot new fresheness that has just arrived and many more that are on order and will be arriving soon.
