Toronto-based hip-hop crew Notes To Self, who are known for dropping fresh 59FIFTY New Era caps with the hat brims flat, will be switching things up for the holiday season! The crew’s latest New Era drop features two styles of headwear, a 19TWENTY retro cap and a 9FIFTY snapback. The caps were co-created by Course of Study & Jim Mezei. According to the Notes to Self fam, the 19TWENTY hat is “inspired by early sixties car club culture, the greaser film genre to emerge from the late fifties & classic minor league baseball aesthetics.” The cap comes in midnight navy blue wool; a kelly green under-visor and a leather sweatband. The hat displays the NTS BBRC Car Club felt appliqué lettering wrapped entirely around the crown and “NTS” on the front. The 9FIFTY snapback is “inspired by classic early nineties rap music and staple athletic sportswear brands.” It comes in black with a kelly green under-visor. The front displays the Notes to Self newly branded NTS BBRC insignia in white. The back features a gold graphic detail. Notes to Self held an advanced pop up shoppe on Saturday, December 20th at 1pm, at King’s Landing Barber Shoppe, located at 396 College street in Toronto, Canada. Now get out and cop these fresh New Era caps with the hat brims flat! Last year we caught up with Notes to Self to talk caps and rap. You can check out the interview here.
