The 7 Line Army “M” Diamond Era 59FIFTY Cap

When the 7 Line Army, a die-hard New York Mets fan organization, previewed their “M” logo on clothing, their enthusiastic supporters demanded that this logo also make it’s way to a New Era cap. But the 7 Line were ahead of the game, they had been planning to drop this cap all along! The 7 Line recently released a preview for this upcoming cap that all Mets fans will be proud to own. NECTalk’s Top 20 New Era Releases of 2014

In 1996, when Spike Lee made the game-changing call to New Era requesting a red Yankees fitted, he didn’t know that he would make such a huge impact on fashion and culture – setting the trend for the modern-day custom cap and changing New Era’s business model forever. Things in the cap world came full circle in 2014, with New Era releasing the Heritage Series collection, paying homage to the iconic red Yankees cap that Spike Lee originally requested back in 1996. 2014 in general was one of the greatest years we’ve seen for New Era releases, with a wide variety of headwear to choose from that featured many different styles, designs and licenses. It was a year that saw hats that stayed fresh and stylish while guarding the galaxy; caps that came from a galaxy far, far away ; and even On-Field headwear that came straight out of the frying pan! With so many great New Era caps this year, it was a challenge for us to decide on our Top 20.  As the year has come to a fresh close, we can’t wait to see what 2015 holds. From Rakim to A$AP Rocky, whether fitted or snapback, baseball caps have been worn by rappers for generations, and no headwear brand has solidified themselves more with hip hop music and culture than New Era.
