Super Bowl excitement has reached a feverish pitch, as the day of the showdown - between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos - draws near. Fans of both teams are excited for Sunday’s game, to be able to speak with their New Era caps, and proudly show which team they wear their allegiance to – especially die-hard Seahawks fan, Taylor Everts, and big time Broncos supporter, Angelica Valenzuela. These two women were selected as Fan Ambassadors at the beginning of the football season, to represent New Era and their respective favorite NFL teams, because of the undying loyalty and passion they displayed. Along with 30 other Fan Ambassadors, they took part in a photo shoot that would “give them a voice to represent their city, their team and their passion for football.” We caught up with Taylor Everts and Angelica Valenzuela with a only a few days to go before the Super Bowl, to see what’s on their minds, and also to find out if they have a message for one another before the championship game.

In 2013 the Erie SeaWolves released a re-brand that saw their team logos see a modernization. An interesting twist was put to the Home and Alternate onfield hats that would see the main logo feature a wolve with eye patch while their alternate see’s a flag with the letter E. DJ Shadow (born Josh Davis) is widely credited as a key figure in developing the experimental instrumental hip-hop style associated with the London-based Mo’ Wax label. Inspired by hip-hop’s early years, he then grew to absorb the heyday of crews like Eric B. & Rakim, Ultramagnetic MCs, and Public Enemy; groups which prominently featured DJs in their ranks.He recently caught up with New Era to release some new merch that included two new 59Fifty fitted hats. Their was alot of talk about a second collection in the works between global hat manufacturer New Era Cap and House of Holland. Sure enough that talk was legit and the second round of 9Fifty snapbacks is found jam packed with a total of six caps dubbed the Sacred Heart, Tropical Dove, Lace and the Leopard Rose that you see displayed above. New York city is abuzz with Super Bowl fever. Yesterday, New Era helped play their part in getting New Yorkers and NFL fans excited for the big game, with the #EmbraceTheCold ice cream truck. Comedian Mike Epps spent the afternoon at Broadway and W 39th handing out New Era Super Bowl XLVIII caps & ice cream cones to fans, to help them ‘Embrace the Cold’ and get prepared for the frigid temperatures that are expected for the championship game on Sunday.
