Right now the list stands at:
Astros x 4 (Colt .45's, Navy w. Orange Star, Orange w. Navy Star and the 90's Navy with Gold Star)
Rangers x 2 (The Nolan Ryan era all blue with red 'T', the blue/red with white 'T' an they are wearing their 90's unit but I don't think there is any difference between the hat they wore then and the red one they wear today)
Cubs/Giants x 1
Civil Rights Game hats
More to come I am sure... |

I can't wait to see the Astros and Rangers. I wonder if the Astros will use the gold brim along with the gold Star?
I think the fact that the Giants cap will exist is hilarious, all it most likely will be is a reprint of the "Padres" cap, just black with the MLB logo on the back.
I think this might be the 90's Rangers hat.

It says 'Don't Mess With Texas'.
The Astros hat at their presser was the all navy, they may wear something for the Rangers game but it's up to the Rangers to fund it.
The hat Nolan Ryan is wearing is the 80's hat, the 90's one corresponds to when they went to red as their primary colour. I haven't dug out my one from back in the day but I am pretty sure it is the same as the red hat they currently wear.
Great news for retailers, they can retag the leftover stock on the Padres hats and sell it to Giants fans next year. |

Fair enough but I would say that a hat worn for the preponderance of a decade is in line to be referred to as '90's hat'.
The blue hat straddles both decades but when I see it I think of it as 80's hat, for future reference would late 80's/early 90's hat suffice?
As for the current hats, the blue was brought back in 2001 and the red was dropped until it was revived in 2010 (maybe 2009 I am losing track these days) There was also the A-Rod black billed that mysterious vanished after his trade to the Yankees and the worn for 10 mins blue hat with red 'T' that was supposed to be the road when blue reintroduced as the primary in '01. |

If by primary you mean not worn on the road and shared time with the blue at home then sure.
I didn't think there was a difference but wasn't 100% thanks for confirming.
@soxcrazy those Red Sox games sound cool thanks for the head's up. |

Sounds like a blast! The Sox always have interesting throwbacks. Still a bit put off that they never released the plain white green underbrims... |

It looks like the cap in the picture is an original. The picture is dark so it's hard to tell if the undervisor is black or green, but the shape looks old-school.
