There are a few threads on here that offer a variety of tips depending on how you want to wear your hat, D-backs method will give your hat a fuzzier broken in look. _________________ It's always a better day when you're in a hat |

Yeah, if you'd want your cap to look fresh and brand new, probably should fold up some paper towel and put them under the sweat band _________________ Visit my blog @ http://neweramlb.blogspot.com/ |

It will work for a while, but they will shrink back as time goes on.
If you live near a New Era Flagship store, they will stretch them for you, up to 3 sizes I believe. _________________ Visit my blog @ http://neweramlb.blogspot.com/ |

Best is, if you take your time in several attempts. Some poly caps stretch pretty easily, where some others are really stubborn.
Wool caps in general stretch much better than poly caps. |

Yes they work 100%, but as D-Backs said, it is only temporary and will shrink back down. I now store all of my smaller hats in a hat stretcher. They get pretty expensive, so I started making my own. |

Brain shrinkage?
It's hard to say. I used to wear size 7s, but now I wear size 7-1/8.
From an anatomical viewpoint, your skull isn't fully developed until you're deep into adulthood, past your 40s. Your cranium is actually several bones that float with each other, not a single piece. When you age they fuse together and it shrinks slightly. _________________ Visit my blog @ http://neweramlb.blogspot.com/ |

Sure, it will work. You can remove all of the foam too, it gives you like a half size to work with. I once cut the entire sweatband down the middle in the back once, worked fine. _________________ Visit my blog @ http://neweramlb.blogspot.com/ |

i tried it on a old poly i had that i bought in a 7 1/8. seemed to easy. took off the thin black layer and the foam underneath. gave it a loser fit but still tight but wasnt expecting it to fit.
i might just tryin on tomorrow on one of my newer ones
i got a question, do the china fitted fit bigger or smaller? this sizing is very bad, i have old made in USA poly that fit like a glove while all the newer ones ive bought all USA fit way bigger. all 7 3/8 too |
