TOP 5:
*NY Giants' 1950s black cap with orange interlocking NY (actually I really like the old-style interlocking Giants "NY" most of all)
*STL Browns' 1950-51 brown caps with orange bills, eyelets, and top button and interlocking orange STL
*Pirates' yellow crowned-caps of the early 1970s
*Padres' brown caps of the late 1980s
*Cleveland Indians' mid-70s C-caps (during their Camp Cuyahoga uniform era)

BOTTOM 5:
*Any White Sox cap that did NOT say "SOX"
*Boston Braves/Milwaukee Braves "B" and "M" caps (navy crown over red bill) - so uninspired, even in that era
*Any plain white or gray cap ever worn (I mean PLAIN - no soutaches or colored bills)
*STL Browns' interlocking "SL" caps of the 1930s (look them up - they make no sense and are ill-matched)
*Cleveland Indians block-C caps of the early 1980s. So very bland, like the team I guess...

Top 5 (in no particular order):
-Orioles cartoon bird paneled cap
-1997 Mariners hat with the navy blue crown and silver brim
-Oakland A's Charlie Finley-era caps
-Pirates alt/TATC hats with the black crown, gold brim and red underbrim
-Brooklyn Dodgers Boys of Summer-era caps

Can't really think of 5 that I dislike.

This isn't an easy 5 to come up with. It would be easier to come up with the 5 worst of all time. I'm also moody so my favorites sometimes change from day to day.

1. Current A's home. Winter green and yellow are perfect together, add the white A's and that adds an extra dynamic that makes it very appealing to me. If the A's were yellow on the home hat I'm not sure I would feel the same about it. I love the road hat though.
2. Rangers 70s, blue with red brim. I was excited to get this as an onfield last year when the Rangers wore it as one of the 40th anniversary throwbacks. I would love to see this hat come back with the current T with no shadow but outline instead. The old block T was nice looking but didn't have much of a western feel to it.
3. Brooklyn Dodgers 1939-1957. I know it is the same as the current Dodgers hat save for the B given up for LA but that classic Brooklyn B on that Dodger blue hat was amazing looking to me. I managed to swipe a couple on onfields 2 years ago when the Dodgers did some throwback games, I like them so much that I won't even wear'em.
4. Blue Jays 92-93 road hat (solid blue). I loved that hat when I was a kid watching them in the world series. I normally wouldn't like things like this but the baseball behind the blue jay head looked great to me especially behind the blue background, it really popped. I'm always looking for that hat on ebay but the price has to be right.
5. Reds 70s, 80s early 90s solid red hat. I wish they would drop the drop shadow from the wishbone C. Simplicity is a great thing in sports uniforms and the Reds hat had a simple classic look to it.

Honorable Mention

Braves current home hat. Had one when I was a kid and still have one. The cursive leaning white A on navy back ground with that red brim are a modern classic now, just a great look.

White Sox current. Funny thing about it is when it first came out in the early 90s I thought it said SEX instead of SOX lol. But what's not to like about that hat it's also a modern classic, very simple and clean.

Indians 80s-90s Chief Wahoo. Love Chief Wahoo, it's a great logo, it looked great when the logo was BIG up against the navy crown back in the day, loved the red brim to. The 95 world series was one of the best looking series that I can remember. It looked great in the Major Leagues movies. I hate what they've done with him now by shrinking him and then changing the navy crown to some sort of lite navy. I'm not too happy about the controversy surrounding the logo and I'm sure it's years are numbered at this point. This is another hat I'm always looking for.
