Just got an email for a “MLB 5950 Day” 5950 Cap at Lids exclusivity. I clicked the email, opened the page and selected the Yankees cap. MY GOODNESS DOES IT LOOK TERRIBLE IN PICTURES!!! Why would I bother buying this online?

| Haha I was intrigued when I saw the teaser yesterday but yeah the Yankees pictures looks like a complete disaster. Looks like I made that hat. I did see a closeup of the Philly one and the wool did look really soft and fuzzy but they didn’t really give any reason to buy these or why they’re special. |

What were they going for? A ebbets field wool vibe?
Green unders with the ne flag and raised batterman is all kinds of wrong
Plus the colors and logo sizes seem off
1980s ne was somewhat fuzzy but never overly done. This looks overly done too.
And $40 to boot.
Wow
If they wanted to go a retro classic vibe, why didn't they just do that and have no ne flag, no batterman, and stick with a green under. The lack of thought into the accuracy aspect is saddening. |

They did these a few years ago with a faux-leather sweatband and called them "Past Time".
Of course, they didn't come with a neato pin that you had to drop to your knees and beg a Lids rep for.
But whatever...happy belated 5950 Day.

I grabbed a Dodgers "Past Time" off clearance for something like $15. Wally's right that the time elements don't coincide, with the batterman, raised logo, green undervisor. But the wool is Ebbetts-like, the crown isn't too bulbous, and it's actually a pretty appealing cap. For $15, not $40. |

| All the colors look like velour. Why cant NE just make the EXACT hat they mad in the 1990’s? I would even settle for early to mid 2000’s.. Great materials, guality craftsmanship, is this too much to ask for? |
