Is Ovechkin worth a 13-year extension with the Capitals worth a whopping $124 million?

| He's worth more! Ovechkin plays for the Caps, a basement team.If he played for Ottawa,Detroit,or San Jose those teams could ease through to the cup.As for comparing to Syd the kid,they are both great players,just little bit different styles.Ovech will shoot more and score more goals.I like to compare Ovech with Kovalchuk,as they are the two best shooters in the game. |

| I think he gets more than his fair share. Whenever I watch the Capitals I see a talented offensive player who takes 2 minuet shifts and really doesn't thrill me. He is good, but how can he not get enough respect. The NHL puts him in all commercials, and shows Washington on Versus just to showcase the guy. True, Crosby may have a little better supporting cast, but he is more of a complete player. Great players lead their teams to heights that they shouldn't reach. If Ovechkin is the "best" player in the league then the Caps should have no problems being a top 8 team in the east. My prediction on OV is he will never win without having a true leader on his team. |

I dont think he is worth it. I think Crosby is the greatest player in the league.
1-HE IS THE CAPTAIN
2-HE HAS THE MOST POINTS FOR THE PENS
3-ALMOST EVERY GOAL MADE HE ASSISTS
4-THEY CALL HIM "THE NEXT ONE"
5-HE HAD THE MOST VOTES OUT OF ANYONE TO GO TO THE ALL STAR GAME |
